What is Legislative Day?
It is an opportunity to meet with state representatives and their staff members to educate them about the work of Private investigators and present CALI’s position on important issues affecting our profession or future legislative concerns.
There are 120 members of the State Legislature: 40 seats in the Senate and 80 in the Assembly. Meeting with each is essential, and each representative requires an individual meeting with at least one constituent from the representative’s home district. Just take one day to join other CALI members to protect the interests of California licensed investigators. Numbers do make a difference!
We hold a briefing session prior to the meetings with representatives and then a post-discussion to summarize our experience. If you have never participated—don’t worry! We provide you with the necessary tools and a seasoned member to accompany and guide you.
If you are unsure about attending, we urge you to talk with a fellow CALI member who has participated in this significant event. We guarantee they will have nothing but positive feedback to provide for you.
We actively work to protect all private investigators, but we cannot amplify our voice on issues significant to our profession without your support. Register Now for CALI's Legislative Day!
