CALI Legislative Day

One of CALI’s paramount goals is to serve as a legislative force for our industry. We complete this through several avenues, but one of the most significant is our annual Legislative Day – Campaign for CALI!

On Legislative Day, we gather in Sacramento and meet with our state representatives and their staff to present CALI’s position on pending or future pertinent legislative issues. This day has also helped build and foster our relationships as constituents and helps our cause for future issues and concerns.

We hold a briefing session prior to the meetings with representatives and then a post-discussion to summarize our experience. If you have never participated—don’t worry! We provide you with the necessary tools and a seasoned member to accompany and guide you. The main function of Legislative Day is for CALI members to meet with their elected representatives at the State Capitol in order to advocate for issues of importance as they relate to our profession.

If you are still unsure about participating, we urge you to talk with a fellow CALI member who has participated in this significant day. We guarantee they will have nothing but positive feedback to provide for you.
